For its part, the Juan Bautista Alberdi award was presented to Dr. Alberto Benegas Lynch (h) in recognition of a life dedicated to the defense of freedom, the dissemination of liberal ideas, and the intellectual formation of generations committed to an open society. It is awarded in recognition of a life of doctrinal consistency dedicated to the defense of freedom and the dissemination of liberal ideas. His pedagogical and intellectual work has been indispensable for the formation of the generations that today lead the cultural change, providing the conceptual and institutional framework that supports the reforms of the present.
